Good Friday and the Easter Raffle

Good Friday and the Easter Raffle

The girls were all in a jovial mood to start off Easter and with Easter bonnets and rabbits ears we all joined in the fun. There were many gifts of chocolate Easter eggs of all sizes and varieties, brought in for the staff from many residents’ families. We proudly wore Easter bonnets, various hats and rabbits ears all through the day from breakfast to teatime, it was really a treat as the residents thought they were really fetching.

The Easter raffle was a great success and we had eight fabulous prizes to win, some of which had been donated. We included cuddly rabbits with chocolate eggs, wine with eggs and our “Tower of ten eggs” for the first prize. There were also small complimentary eggs for visiting families and friends. We drew the raffle on Easter Monday, after Melissa’s Easter comedy show and Peter Bates was the winner of the tower of eggs, along with Andrea, nurse in charge, Kathleen Pritchard’s family, Ann, laundry, Debbie, one of the carers and Nick our exercise man to name but a few.
