The 1000 piece challenge

The 1000 piece challenge

Peter laid down the gauntlet with a challenge of a new jigsaw puzzle. He said that he used to do large puzzles with 1000 pieces at home and they used to keep him occupied all day. He used a gate leg table, which he extended to hold the pieces whilst he sorted them out into desert bowls, (he said that his wife used to complain about him using the crockery) and laid the outside flat edges of the puzzle.  We went out and found a suitable one which would be of particular interest to him with trains and the Queen Mary and yes it was a 1000 pieces. Peter has already spent three days through the day working on his puzzle and he has utilised one of the dining tables which we are not using to leave the puzzle out all the time. We wish him all the best with his challenge and we are going to see how long it takes. Our other residents are watching on with great interest and there has been an improved interest in jigsaws so we do require some more puzzles of different sizes.
